Hospital Cleaning Award
Patients expect hospitals to be clean. This award acknowledges the efforts made by NHS organisations in recent years to raise standards in cleanliness and reduce the risk of hospital acquired infections.

The cleaning and housekeeping department of Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust continues to consistently maintain high standards. The team is recognised both internally and externally for the hard work and dedication towards cleaning. This year’s Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE) ‘Cleaning Scores’ achieved 98.93 per cent across the 11 community hospitals inspected - the third consecutive year the cleaning scores have been above the national average.
